I fired the cone 10 kiln today and everything went pretty good. It started off a little shaky the first few hours with the temperature about 500 degrees off between the top and the bottom........but it leveled out good. Poor Chloe had to hang with dad all day up at the clay building...lol....she was good though! She painted about five paintings, made about 10 drawings, and made some stuff out of clay! I am such a lucky guy to have such a wonderful wife and daughter!! Well, I will post some pics of the new glazes tomorrow when I unload the kiln.........wish me luck!!

I finished up some cone 10 glazes tonight and I am really excited about trying them out. I think me and my buddy Miles are going to do a firing sometime this weekend or next week. Wish us luck!! Anyways, I will try to post some pictures of my recent artwork sometime soon......I promise. I have mainly been doing pottery this semester so it is more that likely it will be something in clay. Chloe and I got back from Gruene.......the Texas clay festival last night. It was a blast being with all my friends and fellow potters from school!! I was so inspired from all the beautiful pottery that I went up to the studio tonight just to be in front of the potters wheel..........not a good idea..lol. I realized that although Gruene Texas was fun and exciting....I do not like Gruene butter..(the clay). It didn't work out for me very well tonight. I think I'll stick with my own special mixture of clay that I usually use. I can't wait to get my studio set up at my house so I can just make pots all day long.........yeah!! Anyways, I hope everyone had as good of a weekend as I did!

Well, woke up with a migraine this morning and boy was it a bad one. It felt like me someone pulled my eyeball out and was poking my brain with knife. I changed the oil in my truck and my wife's car today.......funfun!! I'm a little tired now and just relaxing on the couch. I cannot wait to get to the Texas Clay Festival!!! It's going to be a blast!!

I am beginning to think it would be easier to make a leach wheel out of my potter's wheel then to find a stupid variable speed motor for it!!
